Curious how our team can support your next project? Get in touch to learn more about our subsurface capabilities.
In this month’s Meet the Team, we turn the spotlight on our Subsurface and Asset Evaluation team.
One of the team members is Bartosz – a key part of our exploration expert group, who helps clients make informed decisions through seismic interpretation, well data analysis, and reservoir evaluation.
His technical insight plays a vital role in supporting field development planning and ensuring the geological integrity of our clients’ assets.
Let’s get to know Bartosz better!
Position: Geoscientist
Location: Sandefjord, Norway
Joined AGR: Originally joined Ross Offshore in February 2024, and became part of AGR through the ABL Group acquisition in June 2024
Hobbies: Sports! I’m a certified instructor in both downhill skiing and golf, though I’m currently more focused on running and cycling.
1. What’s your favourite movie / book / or song:
Favourite bands: Daft Punk and Ka2. Among Polish artists, I enjoy Taco Hemingway.
Favourite TV series: True Detective, Succession, and Shōgun.
2. What does your day-to-day look like?
I’m based in the Sandefjord office but frequently travel to meet clients and visit other AGR offices. My day-to-day tasks include seismic interpretation, velocity modelling, and well data analysis. I’m also involved in well trajectory planning and geosteering strategy development for field operations.
3. What made you choose a career in energy?
I was drawn to the energy sector because of its global scope, fast-paced nature, and strong link to the natural sciences. It’s a field that continuously offers new learning opportunities and the chance to contribute to solutions for the world’s energy needs.
4. Tell us a bit about your career development with your team
Since joining AGR, I’ve been involved in a wide range of exploration projects. This hands-on experience has helped me grow technically, improve my teamwork and communication skills, and gain deeper insights into the dynamic, international energy landscape.
5. Can you tell us about something exciting you’re working on right now?
I’m currently part of the Subsurface team working on the Bestla field development project. At the moment, I’m preparing for the upcoming drilling campaign.
6. What does the future look like in energy and oceans?
With global population growth and the rapid development of AI, energy demand is only going to increase. I believe oil and gas will continue to play a key role in the energy mix for many years to come. At the same time, it’s essential that we work to reduce our carbon footprint and shift toward cleaner energy sources such as geothermal, hydropower, solar – and perhaps even nuclear.
Bartosz is just one example of the depth of talent within our Subsurface and Asset Evaluation team. With a collaborative approach and technical excellence, they help energy companies unlock the full potential of their reservoirs.
