Well Integrity & Assurance

Management of well integrity, whether for operating wells or suspended exploration wells, is key to reducing risk to personnel, the environment and to preventing costly remedial work.

Increasing well reliability, minimising production loss and reducing the risk of environmental incidents

We have provided industry leading well integrity support throughout our 35 year history, in every type of operating environment, on every type of well.

The quality of our well integrity management support is underpinned by AGR’s Well Integrity Management Standard (WIMS) – an accredited ISO system that has been proven time and again. In fact, all our processes are founded upon industry best practice and aligned with Well Integrity standards such as ISO 16530, NORSOK D10 and the Offshore Energies UK Well Integrity Guidelines. These disciplines have been accepted and successfully implemented within the strictest industry regimes around the world.

From independent design assessment through ongoing integrity management to planning and supervision of well intervention and repair, AGR can minimise well downtime and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

The integrity of a well depends on many factors throughout its life, including design, construction, operation, maintenance, intervention, plugging and decommissioning.

AGR brings experience in managing all these stages to ensure:

  • Wells are designed and constructed taking into full account all hazards and relevant standards to reduce the risk to people, the environment, facilities and businesses
  • Well integrity is maintained throughout the well life cycle by qualifies experts
  • Quality assurance principles ensure that the design intent is realised
  • Collaboration and communication is maintained with contractors, third parties and appropriate authorities
  • AGR systems measure performance and allow evaluation and continuous improvement.
