AGR’s Perth-based Well Management team are delighted on behalf of our client, Western Gas, as they execute the formal contract with Valaris Limited for the MS-1 semi-submersible rig for the Sasanof-1 well.
AGR’s Well Management was awarded the Well Project Management contract earlier this year to deliver well engineering, contracting & procurement, logistics, HSEQ and operational supervision of the well.
The Sasanof-1 exploration well is located in WA-519-P license permit, in the Carnarvon Basin, offshore Western Australia, in a water depth of approx 1,070m.
Drilling operations are anticipated to commence in March/April 2022.

It will be a vertical well and drilled to a total depth of approximately 2,500 m, providing a low cost, high impact exploration well in a known and proven hydrocarbon province.
