About

Joined AGR: 2024 (through Ross Offshore)

Hobbies: Running and climbing are among my favourite pastimes. Running allows me to clear my mind and push my physical limits, while climbing challenges me with problem-solving under pressure.

Favourite book:

I don’t have a specific favourite, but I’m currently enjoying "The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follet.

What does you day to day look like at AGR?

I typically start my day in the office early in the morning to ensure I have uninterrupted time to focus on challenging tasks. This quiet time helps me tackle the most difficult aspects of my work.

Currently, my primary focus is on our main client, who utilises a compliance checklist for the various stages of their project. I refer to this checklist to prioritize tasks that need attention at any given time.

In addition to working on these tasks, my day often includes meetings with different vendors to discuss potential solutions that align with our project objectives. After these meetings, I compile the proposed solutions and present them to the client.

To stay organized, I use a task management system that allows me to track my progress on different assignments. My goal is always to provide value to our client, and I strive to maintain that focus throughout my workday.

What made you pick a career in Energy?

My decision to pursue a career in the energy sector was largely by chance. I didn’t have a specific plan while growing up, but when the opportunity was presented, I quickly jumped on it.

I believe that the energy industry is the most exciting field in Norway. The large projects and the amazing people working to improve technology really motivate me to stay in this business.

Tell us a bit about your career development at AGR

I have been with Ross/AGR for only one year, so there haven't been any changes to my job position yet. However, I am gaining experience every day and taking on more responsibilities.

Can you tell us about something exciting you are working on right now?

We are currently in the execution phase of the well intervention project in NCS. Planning for this project has been challenging due to the complex well completion. We plan to use new tools that have never been used in this type of completion before. However, extensive testing before mobilisation gives us confidence and excitement.

What does AGR do to enable your professional advancement and work-life balance?

AGR enables my professional advancement through a strong team dynamic. I feel comfortable seeking guidance whenever I need it. The LWI team is involved in every aspect of the project, from concept selection and detailed planning to risk management, offshore execution, and post-project evaluation.

This comprehensive approach allows for continuous learning, as we transfer experiences both positive and negative between projects. It feels like a mental upgrade with each project, enhancing our skills and knowledge.

Regarding work-life balance, the collaborative environment and support from my team help me manage my responsibilities effectively, allowing me to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life.

What does the future look like in energy and oceans?

We are seeing high activity in the oil and gas sector, which I believe will continue for many years to come. While the transition to greener energy sources will eventually take place, we currently still rely on oil and gas for several critical reasons.

AGR has a versatile team of experts ready to assist clients with projects in the North Sea beyond traditional oil and gas initiatives. Our team is eager to learn and adapt, and I believe we can effectively apply our oil and gas project management expertise to greener industries in the ocean space when the time comes.
