Work description:

The role will strengthen the centralized petrophysical team. Main tasks will focus on operational matters and require ability to provide flexible support.

Well planning: Align with Asset Petrophysicist and contribute to cross-disciplinary subsurface well planning team. Deliverables include, but are not limited to:

• Provide petrophysical input for Blow-out&Kill evaluation.
• Selection of LWD tools to be included in production well BHA’s.
• Prepare wireline programs for exploration wells

Daily activity: A mixture of overseeing operations, participate in duty rotation, and back-office support. Deliverables include, but are not limited to:

• Real-time data QC
• Troubleshooting tool performance issues together with LWD/WL vendor
• Quick-look interpretation

Post well follow up: Capture and share learnings, provide KPI inputs, quality control of memory data, prepare final log interpretation, conduct internal/external reporting, communicate well results to internal subsurface team.

Skills:

• Familiar with modern LWD and wireline tool physics.
• Good English writing and oral skills, Norwegian skills are an advantage.

Level of experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience within Petrophysics and formation evaluation studies.
• Offshore operations preferably from Norwegian Continental Shelf
• Previous assignment with Oil and Gas Operator is preferred.

Location:

• Presence at AkerBP office in Stavanger, Oslo or Trondheim is preferred.
• Remote support can be considered.

Software:

• Techlog, WTSML real time data handling
