Building a reservoir model of a large section in the North Sea for Norwegian Petroleum Directorate
AGR’s Reservoir Management & Subsurface assists the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate in building a reservoir model of a large section in the North Sea encompassing several oil and gas fields.
This large scale regional modelling requires a more creative approach while incorporating classical geomodellig techniques – just the task for our multidisciplinary experts who have served the energy industry through three decades across six continents and have a rich reservoir of knowledge to draw on.
The project involves modelling the dynamic behaviour of the common aquifer which provides pressure support to the different fields in the section under scrutiny. The model will help the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to improve understanding of the regional dynamics and open the area for possible future development planning.
