Description

The consultant position as Petroleum Engineer supports both operated and non-operated assets, covering activities related to exploration, project maturation and production phase. The candidate will be joining the clients PE Excellence and Growth team in Stavanger, Oslo or Trondheim, and will support assets or projects as requested. The PE Excellence and Growth team have strong interface with other technical disciplines and functions, and provide expertise within Petroleum and Reservoir Engineering. It is key to have strong communication skills and the ability to contextualize Petroleum Engineering in multi-disciplinary teams consisting of geologist, geophysicist, petrophysicist and reservoir engineers as well as towards other functions. The candidate should actively seek advice and perspectives from colleagues and leaders within own section, as well as contribute to the clients continuous improvement agenda. All work is expected to be planned and executed safely and efficiently.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Production optimization, with close collaboration with other disciplines and functions
  • Follow up well operations and data acquisition, perform data analysis and recommend on how to implement results into reservoir management
  • Screen and mature infill targets and possible EOR opportunities. Design optimal advanced wells
  • Identify remaining reservoir opportunities that could be economically justified to maximize production and value creation
  • Be an active contributor to the Petroleum Engineering network

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree within Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering Physics of Mathematics
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience from field development projects and producing assets
  • Proven track record in field development, production and well planning/execution
  • Good knowledge of relevant analytical method, PVT, PetEx software
