Location: Norway
Duration: 30.08.2029
Apply by: 16.09.2026

Jobref: 21363

Start: 04.10.2026

Description about project/department:

  • The project is a major industrial and environmental initiative led by Client and the partnership to upgrade the facility, ensuring long-term gas production and significantly cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Key Components Onshore Compression: As reservoir pressure in the offshore field declines, onshore compressor modules will maintain sufficient gas flow and plateau production, preventing fluid buildup in the 143km multiphase pipeline from field to shore.
  • Electrification: The plant will replace its existing gas-turbine generators with clean power from the mainland.
  • Major Installations: The work involves installing three primary new modules: a compressor, a transformer substation, and electric steam boilers.
  • Environmental Impact & Timeline Emissions Reductions: Electrification is projected to cut annual CO₂ emissions by 850,000 tonnes—equivalent to about 2% of Norway’s total annual emissions—dropping the plant’s carbon intensity from 3.8 to 0.6 grams of CO₂ equivalent per megajoule. Schedule & Budget: Onshore compression startup is targeted for 2029, with full electrification switching on in 2030. The total estimated investment for the project is approximately NOK 20 billion
