As part of upcoming ABL Maritime Market Briefing, the hybrid event concentrates on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) in Europe, the status of announced projects, trends influencing implementation of this net zero technology and experience of tackling greenhouse emissions with geological carbon storage.
Following COP28, CCS is now officially acknowledged as a pivotal enabler of low-emission technologies. For the world to achieve the goals set forth in the Paris Agreement back in 2016, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology must capture at least 20% of the CO2 emissions generated by the fossil fuel industry by 2050. Presently, this figure stands at less than 4%.
Join us in person or virtually and hear Ole Rygg, ABL Group Managing Director – Wells, as he covers every aspect of CCS, from basics, to the current landscape in Europe and the current challenges of moving projects from the drawing board to going live.
The technical presentation will be followed by a live Q&A.
