AGR Wellsite and Operations Geology unit supports DNO’s groundbreaking Othello discovery

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our client, DNO ASA, and their partners on the recent discovery at the Othello prospect! Our wellsite geologists were proud to support the drilling operations aboard the Noble Invincible rig, leveraging our offshore operational geology expertise to contribute to this significant milestone.

DNO ASA, a leading Norwegian oil and gas operator, announced the discovery of light oil in license PL1086 in the Norwegian Continental Shelf, where the company holds a 50% operated interest alongside partners Aker BP ASA (20%), Petoro AS (20%), and Source Energy AS (10%).

The discovery was made in Palaeocene sandstones of excellent reservoir quality, with preliminary estimates of gross recoverable resources ranging between 27-57 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMboe), and a mean estimate of 41 MMboe (source DNO website).
