AGR is honoured as top talent of industry at annual OGUK Awards celebration.
The winners of the 2021 Awards were honoured during a gala dinner at P&J Live in Aberdeen as industry came together to celebrate the best and brightest talent the UK offshore oil and gas industry has to offer.
Over 900 people joined the ceremony in-person and through the livestream. A total of 27 entrants made it to the finalist stage after an expert panel considered over 90 nominees from across the sector.
The 2021 OGUK Awards, sponsored by Shell UK Ltd, aim to champion those who have made an extraordinary impact on the industry in the past year. Winners were awarded across ten different categories, ranging from excellence in decommissioning to contribution to the low carbon energy transition.
Hosted by celebrity guest and comedian Jon Culshaw, attendees also ‘live-voted’ for the coveted Audience Award to honour a person they think has performed particularly well in the past year.
AGR was awarded Excellence in Decommissioning for the recent successful management of planning and wellsite operations for Ireland’s first ever decommissioning project. In particular, decommissioning of 14 platform wells and 10 subsea wells in the Kinsale field, in the Celtic Sea.
