Geir Hedenstad advises our clients on well control and blowout contingency.

What do you do, and in what circumstances would your colleagues come to you for something?
I work out of our Oslo office as a Principal Well Control Advisor. My colleagues seldom come to me for expert advice on well control issues, but they often drop by for casual chats, especially when they want to hear about Norway’s amazing wildlife.

What is your favorite way to relax?
I find relaxation in spending quality time with family and friends. However, nothing recharges my batteries like spending a few days up in the mountains or in the forest.

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
Everyone should experience a walk through untouched wilderness, sit beneath an old pine tree, and simply listen to the sounds of nature.

Where is your favourite destination and why?
Northern Norway is my favorite destination. It offers charming villages, remote islands, spectacular mountains, and beautiful beaches. The unique light, with Northern Lights in winter and the midnight sun in summer, adds to its magic.

What trend do you hope makes a comeback?
I hope 1950s fashion makes a comeback. Dark jeans, black or white t-shirts, leather jackets, and boots had a timeless coolness, not to mention the classic cars of that era.
