This full-time position reports to the Vice President for the AGR Software business unit and is a proactive and strategic contributor to developing and implementing software solutions within drilling and well engineering to our global user portfolio. You play a central role in driving the user’s success through executing their performance ambitions.
In addition to developing and maintaining the software suite, the Software team also assists with data import, training, and efficient software implementation for the clients.
It is expected that the selected candidate will conduct various kinds of engineering work within the drilling & wells domain.
Technical engineering work combined with computer science and proactive customer follow up are expected to be key parts of the candidate’s workday.
Some examples of tasks are:
Engineer with Msc degree within relevant discipline related to mechanical-, petroleum technology, or computer science
Interested in digitalization
Minimum two years’ experience being involved in drilling/well projects
Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is considered a bonus
Living in Norway (Oslo area or willing to relocate)
International experience and/or having worked within digitalization in D&W before
Programming skills
Skilled in mathematics and/or statistics
Enjoy working in teams, and individually
Proactive – likes to drive the process forward through actively engaging with clients
Comfortable interacting with clients and other external stakeholders
Interested in digitalizing drilling and well processes
Ability to pursue multiple tasks and quickly switch between them upon demand
Good technical understanding
