Board of Directors

Paal Espen Johnsen acts as Investment Director at Akastor ASA. He joined the team in 2015. Paal Espen’s previous experience is from investment banking, management and board level in various companies within industry and finance.

Paal holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics.

Karl Erik Kjelstad is the Chief Executive Officer at Akastor ASA. He has been part of the Aker group since 1998, and joined the Akastor investment team in 2014. His experience from the Aker group includes various CEO and management positions.

Karl Erik holds an MSc in Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and an AMP from Harvard Business School.

Daniel Bratli joined Akastor ASA investment team in 2018. Prior to joining Akastor he spent two years at PwC, where he worked as a M&A analyst.

Daniel holds a MSc in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Svein Harald Øygard is the Chairman of DBO Energy, as well as an advisor to companies active in the energy industry.

He worked as Senior Partner in Sparebank 1 Markets from 2017 to 2019. From 1995 to 2016 he worked in McKinsey & Company, since 2006 as Director. He led McKinsey Oil & Gas in Latin America from 2013 to 2016 and served as Global Knowledge leader Oil & Gas from 2009 to 2014.

Jørnar Heggsum Hubred is the Employee Representative on the AGR Board of Directors.

Jørnar joined AGR in 2019 as a result of the merger between AGR and First Geo. He acts daily as Senior Geoscientist and Key Account Manager for the company’s product hiQbe®. Jørnar has previously held Board roles during his career in First Geo and its predecessor Aker Geo ever since he joined in 2007.

Jørnar holds Master of Science in Geology and Geochemistry from the University of Oslo. He has actively been engaged as a volunteer in several professional organisations both as a member and a Board representative.
